In baseball, the Bambino Curse has often been talked about as afflicting the Boston Red Sox. Now, one might wonder if the Canadiens aren’t affected by the same phenomenon when their players wear their third uniforms.

Martin St-Louis’ squad had a bad night at the office in a 4-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils at the Bell Center on Tuesday.
Without the power of Jake Allen, the final margin would have been higher. He made multiple key stops to keep his team in the game. However, his teammates were unable to return the favor.
It was one of those nights where the team’s depth was tested. Nick Suzuki’s trio was more discreet.
“It is a very good team. It is no coincidence that they have won ten matches in a row. It was a big test. I am not saying that we failed, but we did not score high enough to win,” Martin St. Louis said.
“I really liked the first half. We had a lot of chances in the first. In the second, they really showed their pace and they pressed. We had a hard time getting into the game.”
It was also a showdown between Cole Coffield and Jack Hughes, two first-round picks in the 2019 draft. Hughes dominated.
With his speed, the Devils forward gave headaches to the Canadian defence. He scored two goals thanks to his aggressive style. He was an accomplice of the ultimate goal of the meeting.
It was the 50th and 51st of his NHL career. He defeated Jake Allen with a precise wrist shot.
For his part, Caufield had a quiet game. He hasn’t been a threat since the start of the season.
Ever since he arrived in Montreal, Evgeny Dadonov’s offensive skills have been praised. His track record proves that he has got some skills.
Against the Devils we saw Dadonov from the good days. Along with Sean Monahan and Josh Anderson, he formed Canada’s most dangerous trio.
Dadonov scored his first goal with the Canadiens. The first in the history of the team in retro uniforms.
“I knew it was going to happen one day. I feel great,” said Dadonov. My line play was good. We could have scored one or two more runs.”
